Enter the Competition and Consumer Affairs Commission (CCAC) Jingle Competition in celebration of World Consumer Rights Day 2026!
Theme:
“Safe Products, Confident Consumers”
Create a catchy, fun, and impactful jingle that promotes:
Access to and use of safe products
Consumer rights and protections
At least one key right under the Consumer Affairs Act No. 13 of 2011 of Guyana (See below for reference)

- Section #19 (Warranties)
- Section #21 (Return of Goods)
- Section #22 (Return of Defective Goods)
- Section #24 (Notices on Return of Goods)
Submission Guidelines:
Video recording of the jingle (MP4 or higher)
Length: 30–60 seconds
Must clearly reflect the official 2026 theme
Content (Acapella) must be original (no copyright infringement)
Must be suitable for public broadcast (no expletives)
Name and contact details must be included

Closing Date for Submission: February 20, 2026
We will notify you, via Facebook announcements, when the videos will be uploaded for voting.
Judging Criteria:
Public Voting – 30%
• Based on the number of likes and shares received on the official CCAC Facebook page during the voting period
Judges’ Assessment – 70%
• Relevance to the theme “Safe Products, Confident Consumers” – 20%
• Incorporation of consumer rights under the Consumer Affairs Act No. 13 of 2011 – 30%
• Creativity, originality, and flow – 10%
• Musical quality and clarity of message – 10%
Use of Submission:
By submitting an entry, participants grant the CCAC the right to use, reproduce, broadcast, and adapt the jingle for non-commercial consumer education and awareness, with appropriate credit given.
General Conditions:
• Late or incomplete submissions will not be considered
• Posts deemed to have been boosted will be eliminated
• The CCAC reserves the right to disqualify entries that do not meet the guidelines
• Judges’ decisions are final
